The Power of Group
Why You Need a Business Owner Advisory
It can be lonely at the top. People say that. But when you are living it every day, it takes on a whole different meaning. And no one lives it more than a business owner running an entrepreneurial company or managing a team of employees in their family business.
At TAB, business owners join us because they feel isolated and don’t have someone they can properly share their issues with. In our peer-to-peer advisory board, our members find solidarity and gain advice. Each member comes with a unique set of strengths and weaknesses, and knowledge that has tried and tested in the real world. This makes a peer board a powerful tool for business owners to help fill the gaps in each other’s knowledge and grow their own capabilities.
The sole purpose of an advisory board is to share experiences and solve issues together, where you can be frank about your challenges and questions.
But what happens is more along the lines of a support meeting – like a CEOs anonymous. Members of the groups challenge one another to achieve their goals, lift them up and encourage them when things are tough, provide advice, tips and suggestions to overcome challenges, and help one another anticipate changes to manage shifts.
During meetings the members laugh with, challenge and build one another up. Between meetings they become a resource for one another.
The outcome is better, more profitable businesses and a personal freedom. In other words, more time, more money, and more freedom from the business.
