In today's digital world, there are all sorts of materials on how to be successful. Some are about visualizing your way to success. Some are about selling your way to success. Some are about the body language of success. Some are about negotiating your way to success. Some are about networking your way to success.
The best entrepreneurs also recognize that time management is key to their success.
Now there are moments when all of us do the equivalent of binge watching Netflix, rather than creating our own awesome story. There are only 24 hours in a day, and many of us can never really seem to find the time to work on the really important things, the things that take creativity. That’s because we either over-schedule our day full of meetings, or we stay on our laptops well into the evening because we need to ‘get work done’.
There is no question that every entrepreneur, especially in early stages of growth, has periods of extremely heavy workload when they are overscheduled or working against deadlines.
But the most successful entrepreneurs devote at least some dedicated time each day to quiet time to allow creative thought.
